El Salvador Travel Guide

Welcome to I PINK IT!

As a lot of you already know, I am from El Salvador. However, every time I visit this tiny beautiful country I visit new attractions and try new restaurants. The question I get ask all the time, is whether or not El Salvador is a safe destination to visit.

The locals truly benefit from the tourism industry, which is helping them to earn money to cover their basic needs from a trustworthy source. Therefore, the government has been increasing the police officers and patrols available on touristy sites. You will see security guards everywhere, which is ensuring you are safe at all times. However, you still have to take precaution like you will do in other destinations and don’t leave your goods behind.

Now that we know that El Salvador is safe, I will encourage you to add this destination to your future travels. In this vlog, I am sharing what I did for a week, I was able to try outdoor activities, visit the beach, try a completely allergen free restaurant, and visit picturesque little towns. If you have food allergies, this vlog has a combination of the food I ate when going out and the food I cooked at home.

Honestly, I was pretty safe apart from the instance I mentioned with cross-contamination that I just trusted the food without asking questions. Yet, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A COMPLETELY ALLERGEN FREE RESTAURANT. The restaurant I mentioned in the video has been operating for a few years and it specializes in catering for those with food allergies, celiac disease, or gluten intolerance. They even serve you in different plates to ensure your food is not cross contaminated.

Overall, I had an amazing experience and I really hope you get to learn more about my home country through this vlog and you add it to your places to visit in 2020. The coolest thing is that when it’s low season you can find flights for as low as 400 dollars and it is close to the US, so you guys have no excuse to not visit this gem in Central America.

Thank you for watching.

Love,

Ingrid
